I began my career with Young & Rubicam EMEA in 1996 and stayed with the agency for 11 years. Throughout this time I worked on international accounts including Dr Pepper, Xerox, United Airlines and Star Alliance. I was then asked to join the Ford team working on the award-winning Puma 'Steve McQueen' launch and Cougar's 'Easy Rider' launch; within two years we were awarded almost the entire Ford of Europe business. Whilst on Ford, I was responsible for its first fully-integrated pan-European launch campaign for the Ford Focus, and also oversaw the development of the Ford look and style which I rolled out across the entire organisation internationally and which is still followed by Ford today. My global experience grew further when Y&R won the Land Rover account and I was asked to be the Global Operations Director tasked with setting up the agency network across 23 markets. I continued to manage the international side of the account which also involved working with a number of WPP's agencies to deliver seamless and integrated communications. I continued to do this for seven years, including four years based out of Y&R Madrid.
In 2008 I was asked to head up the London office of a Korean network agency which gave me experience both in agency management and in working with the rapidly-growing region of Asia. Having successfully restructured and turned the business around I was ready for a completely new challenge.
The opportunity to join Grace Blue offered me the perfect blend of continuing to work with the media and communications industry on a worldwide basis together with focusing on the people who make it such an exciting industry. The challenges of building brands and running international businesses across geographical borders continues to fascinate me, and it is a privilege at Grace Blue to be able to meet and work with today's leaders, who achieve this in our industry.
