My career in advertising began in 1999 at McCann-Erickson in London, where I learned that margarine is in fact a “yellow fat”, that three Shredded Wheat are far too many, and that the way to meet your theatrical heroes is to get them in to do a voiceover recording.

Before joining Grace Blue London in 2011, I spent 12 years at McCanns and Ogilvy working on everything from Shreddies to Coca-Cola, from Dove to Ford – domestically, regionally and globally. My experience running big brands and the integrated creativity that goes with them has given me a lifelong love of ideas, communications, the industry and the talent within it.

After leading ten European car launches in four years (amazing and exhausting in equal measure) I decided it was time for a change, and joining Grace Blue was a chance to reframe my experience by concentrating on the wonderful talent behind the great work.

After nearly three years at our office in London, I leapt at the opportunity to come to Asia and set up Grace Blue in Singapore in the summer of 2014. We have the ambition to be the best search firm in the world in the media and communications space and we would never be able to achieve this without being on the ground in the region learning about the best businesses and meeting the incredible talent behind such success and growth. I have permanently relocated here to set up our regional office and build a team to reflect our offering in London and New York – giving a global view on, and finding the best leadership talent; and we are already working with our clients in China, India, South East Asia and Australia to find leaders from start-ups to holding companies, and many other business critical positions in between.

This industry has always been a revelation to me in terms of the transformational effect creative solutions have on brands and business; and since joining Grace Blue, the thinkers, the creators and the persuaders behind the work in all parts of the world are happily my focus.
