Following four fabulous years studying history makers and literary greats at Edinburgh University, Nicki cut her advertising teeth at McCann-Erickson London. There she learnt about everything from dog food and white rum to wristwatches and petroleum. There followed a four year stint at JWT London where she worked on cereal, washing powder, amusement parks, charities and the Royal Air Force (to her great sadness it turned out she showed little aptitude as a fast jet pilot). In 2004 she moved to a start up called VCCP to run their newly won Coca-Cola business. There followed fun and games with talking tortoises. And a few kids along the way. Most recently she worked at AMV BBDO London running the retail behemoth that is Sainsbury's.
Nicki moved to New York in 2012. And promptly lost everything she owned in Hurricane Sandy. The experience didn't put her off the Big Apple however, and certainly deepened her appreciation of Ikea's flat pack offerings. Outside of Grace Blue, and when child wrangling permits, Nicki can be found on a horse, fretting about the latest Arsenal performance, or with her nose in a book.
