Having realised that I was not going to achieve my ambition to be the next Chris Evert, I did the next best thing and went into advertising. I joined Charles Barker where I spent four years before joining Royds to head up its integrated offering. Sooner than anticipated the opportunity to set up my own marketing communication agency arose and The Forward Consultancy was born. In 1987 I sold my share of the business to take up a unique opportunity to set up Limbo, BBH's direct marketing agency, and I spent the next ten years successfully building the agency - which pioneered brand building in direct marketing - before it was integrated into BBH.
I stayed at BBH for a further four years leading business development for the agency. In 2003 I joined Kendall Tarrant to work with Gay Haines, heading up the search department.
I have been privileged to work with some truly talented people and across all of the communications disciplines. I believe that great leaders can come from any background, and this has been a founding value of Grace Blue since we set up the business in late 2006. My greatest learning has been that if you tirelessly strive to produce the best quality product, financial success will follow.
